Our Wedding

Deeya and Rohan’s love story began like many modern romances do—on a dating app. But their connection quickly proved to be anything but ordinary. Deeya was working as a physician in London, having just completed her medical degree at Cambridge. Life was busy and fulfilling but meeting someone wasn’t exactly on her radar. Across the Atlantic, Rohan, a New Yorker, found himself in London for a few months of work. Fate—with some help from the Hinge algorithm—brought them together. Their first date was set for the The Blind Pig, a cozy speakeasy nestled in the heart of Soho. But as the saying goes, the course of true love never did run smooth. A citywide tube strike turned Rohan’s commute into an ordeal, and he arrived a nerve-wracking 35 minutes late. Deeya, unsure whether to wait or leave, decided to stay—perhaps out of curiosity, perhaps on a whim. Little did she know, it would be the best decision of her life. From the moment they sat down, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Just days later, they met again—this time at Foyles, London’s iconic bookstore. Together, they wandered the aisles, flipping through pages, sharing their favorite reads. Their bookstore adventure culminated in a hole-in-the-wall sushi dinner, where their bond deepened. As weeks turned into months, their love story unfolded against the backdrop of London’s beautiful parks. Together, they travelled, making unforgettable memories on trips to Sicily, Lake Como, NYC, Edinburgh & the Cotswolds. Each destination added new layers to their story, from romantic sunsets on Italian lakes to cozy nights in the Scottish Highlands. When it was time for Rohan to return to the U.S., they packed their bags and moved to the Upper West Side, beginning their next chapter of pumpernickel bagels on Madison Avenue, coffee walks through The Ramble in Central Park & dinner at their favorite Tribeca spot. As Harry told Sally in the iconic NYC movie, "When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible." Together Deeya and Rohan have built a life filled with love & adventure. Their story is a beautiful testament to the magic of taking chances and the belief that the best things in life often happen when you least expect them.
